The “Miloserdie” telephone inquiry service provides urgent information help regarding various social and socio- ecclesiastical issues. Some 29,000 calls are received by the Service annually.

The telephone inquiry service has been operating in Moscow since 2003, It provides valid information about church and secular social help in Moscow, registers requests from those in need and passes them on to a particular “Miloserdie” department, it is also responsible for signing up for educational programmes run by “Miloserdie”.

The service works from 8:00am to 10:00pm without days off. On average, our telephone operators get from 80 to 120 calls a day, about 2, 500 calls monthly. Only urgent requests are granted at night, such as a call of a priest to a severely ill or dying person, and also help for those who are homeless.
